Dr. Leonel Fernández Reyna, is the President of the Dominican Republic. He was born in Santo Domingo. He did his first studies, until the secondary initiated, in New York (United States). From return to his country, he studied Law in the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, where it obtained the Doctorate. In 1973, he accompanied his teacher and his guide, Juan Bosh, in the fundation of the Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), he happening to be member of his Central Committee in 1983, and of his Political Committee in 1990.
Of a strong academic and professional formation, he exerted like university profesor, lawyer and journalist. Elected in 2008 by third previous time, its two periods before are 1996 and 2004. He is president and founder of FUNGLODE (Global Foundation Democracy and Development).

He developed its professional carreer, from Attending Engineer of Plant (1962) to President of the Meeting of Directors and Main Executive Civil Servant of the Gulf & Western Americas Corporation (1976-1984). Then, to the G&W sell its properties to the Central Romana Corporation, main producing unit, in efficiency and volume of vintage sugar and refining of the Dominican Republic, he occupied the same position of president and one of the main shareholders. Also he was member of the Meeting of Directors of Okeelanta Sugar Company from the 1984 to 1986. He resigned to exert the Vice-presidency of the Dominican Republic.

In the private sector it presided over different dedicated organizations from the tourist development, the industrial frank zones, as well as to the exercise of the enterprise social responsibility in the economic and social development of the country, and especially, of the Eastern region, between them President and Treasurer of the Gulf Foundation & Dominican Western.

In the public sector, Ing. Morales has been tie to the Dominican Sugar Institute; as well as to the Monetary Meeting of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. The Executive Direction of the Consejo Estatal del Azúcaar (CEA) occupied until October of 1989, consolidated company of the sugar talents property of the Dominican State.

Besides its functions like Vice-president Constitucional of the Republic, he evolved like Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Dominican Republic in the United States of America, with seat in Washington, D.C. during the period 1989-199O.

From ancestry cibaeña, specifically vegana, the Lic. Jeremías Jimenez, was born 38 years ago accidentally in a province of the East of the Dominican Republic called La Romana, when his father was in the military in that city, later  he realized its primary and secondary studies in the city of Santo Domingo, graduating later than the Races of Accounting and Administration of Companies.

The Lic. Jeremías Jiménez, it initiates his workings in the governmental train in 1988, when it was designated as attending of the Director of Customs (D.G.A.), subsequently was named in this same position in the Direction Imposed internal (D.G.I.I.) once Main directorate of Internal Rents, getting to occupy important functions like In charge of the District and Head of Collection at national level. Also, it held other positions of responsibility, like the position of Chief inspector of the DGII and the one of General Supervisor of Migration at National level, besides assistant of the Director, in everything of them always stood out by its vocation on watch and honesty, always become attached to the canons ethical and morals own of the Integra formation received from his honorable and distinguished parents, of who it inherited the love to the fellow, the dedication to the work and the sublime vocation service.

Besides its important experience in public Administration, and ascending enterprise trajectory, the Lic. Jeremías Jiménez enjoys the distinction and esteem of the different economic and social sectors from the country in the country by its work and performance with the same.

Another manifestation of the vocation and leadership of the Lic. Jiménez, take place at social and communitarian level, he is member creator of the Foundation of Social Support against Pobreza (FAS), being at the moment his President and founding several training centers, schools of formation and tourism. Also, Innovation evolves like Vice-president of the Foundation. These foundations are fight instruments with which it aspires to contribute to decrease the conditions of shortage in which million of Dominican live and to impel the development of the Democracy in our country.

In the last three (3) years it has held the positions of Vice-consul of the Dominican Republic in Frankfurt, Germany and of General Consul in the island of San Martin and Jamaica.

Like proselytical activist, Jeremías Jiménez is charter member of the Christian National Movement, which promotes the values of the social Christianity, it criticized lasts and openly the pink alliance in the 2006 and support actively the candidacy of President Fernandez in the 2004 and his re-election in the 2008, at the moment is being promoted by the MNC and communities and districts of circumscription 3 for Deputy facing the next congresuales and municipal elections.

Jeremías Jiménez has a deep knowledge of the deficiencies that affect the sectors of circumscription 3, its social reality and main vindications product of their long and constant interaction communitarian, to the margin of proselytism, as well as its social sensitivity product of its experiences in the zone, locates which it over any other aspiring for the search of solutions to short, medium and long term, that entails to improve the conditions of life of the inhabitants of this circumscription.

It emphasizes in its proposal, the support to the communitarian leadership and the management of the national and international economic resources that allow to install health centers, infantile day-care centers so that the mothers can leave to their children under cares, while they have the possibility of working, communitarian centers of education where technical factories and courses to the community are distributed, as well as support to the culture and the sport.
